	Dear Dr. Frankel, I can never thank you enough for helping me look like a “normal person” again. The change is amazing. 4 years ago I would never have picture taken willingly and now – for the past few years – we have many pictures, 3 portraits and a picture Christmas card. My self-esteem has risen to new levels I never imagined. I can look people in the eye and don’t feel that when people look at me that they must be looking at my nose – causing me to lower my eyes in shame. I was so embarrassed over my appearance. Now I hold my head high, am involved in many activities and organizations, and feel completely worthwhile. I even feel intelligent-sounding. I hadn’t realized I hadn’t felt in so long for how could a “smart person” wind up looking like me. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for giving me a beautiful nose (and a functional one) so that I could once again be the person I am, that is, meant to be. 	Dr. Frankel, I’m not sure if I thanked you or not yet. With all the excitement of the splint coming off it may have slipped my mind – in which case… Thank You! I couldn’t love my nose any more. It’s gorgeous. Now I feel silly for waiting so long – in fact I think I should have done it when I was 18. Did I mention I love it?! But seriously, thank you for being so patient with me and for answering all of my many questions, and for keeping me calm (at least as calm as I’m capable of) during the whole process.
