Dr. Frankel,
So maybe this should be the thank you letter I never formally sent. I think you somehow innately know how I feel about you… You are a gift, to me, to everyone who’s life you touch, to your profession. I waited 22 years to meet the right guy… for my surgery. I knew within 5 minutes of being in your presence, you were worth the wait.

I suppose going through any surgery is traumatic, elective or not. In my case I may have been a little over dramatic, but I wasn’t faking a bit… I was terrified. For me, to give the scariest moment over to a mere stranger, meant intuitively I had the trust and confidence in you that had to be present. I have never worried about the outcome with you because I believed you knew best. I am very happy with everything even though I realize things may change even more over time… but more than that I feel more than just lucky to know you. Your spirit transends anything I could ever put into words. Thank you! Thank you for being! …with tons of Love & Hugs
