About Articles Rhinoplasty Are You Ready For a Rhinoplasty?

Fitting a Rhinoplasty Into Your Life

These days, nearly all of us lead extremely busy lives. Whether it’s work, family, friends, or school, most people don’t have time to cook dinner, let alone relax and recuperate. Because of this, many people who are interested in plastic surgery worry about how they’ll find the time to recover properly. It’s a legitimate concern, but don’t let it turn you away from something that could be beneficial to your self-esteem and well-being. If you’re interested in undergoing a rhinoplasty, the following tips might help you fit that recovery time into your busy schedule.

Find Childcare

You probably won’t be feeling up to packing lunches right after surgery, so if you have children, make sure someone is available to help you and the kids. Making the necessary arrangements beforehand is beneficial to both you and your children.

Save Up Vacation Days

While you’re saving up money for your procedure, you might want to start saving up vacation days as well. Though rhinoplasty recovery is not as grueling as it once was, you are advised not to go back to work for 7-10 days. You’ll need that time to rest and recover. Any bruising that is present as a result of the procedure will need several days to fade, and you’ll be wearing a splint for a while following the surgery. You don’t want anxiety about work to compromise your recovery.

Discuss Options at Work

Is it possible for you to work from home? Can you put in extra hours in the weeks before your surgery to offset the time you’ll be out? If you have a flexible boss, you should be able to come up with a creative solution that allows for work and rest.

Make Your Happiness a Priority

If you’re still having trouble finding time for your rhinoplasty, take a step back and think about why you want the surgery. If you are doing it for yourself and you think cosmetic nasal surgery will make you happier, then make your happiness a priority and go for it.
